Last month I had a pancake party for my birthday. I made a base batter and had people bring along their favourite toppings and fillings. I gathered together all my treasures - keys, books, cameras, fairy lights, etc. and my Oma's pottery, Laura bought me some bunches of flowers, and we ate pancakes out on the deck, surrounded by trees, in the humidity of a day that would end in a hailstorm.
